The Nikon COOLPIX L10 uses one AA-size alkaline battery. For optimal performance, use high-quality alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries.

The camera supports SD (Secure Digital) memory cards. A memory card is required to store photos and videos.
- Open the memory card slot cover (usually located near the battery compartment or on the side).
- Insert the memory card with the label facing the correct direction, pushing it gently until it clicks into place.

- Switch the camera to movie mode (refer to your camera's specific mode dial or menu option).
- Press the shutter release button to start recording.
- Press the shutter release button again to stop recording.
