Welcome to the VTech Paint and Learn Art Easel. This interactive toy is designed to engage young children with creative play and early learning concepts. It features light-up buttons, musical piano keys, and a double-sided activity card to introduce letters, numbers, colors, and music.

  1. Whakapirihia nga Waewae: Insert the two easel legs into the designated slots at the base of the easel main unit until they click securely into place.
  2. Whakauruhia nga Pataha: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the easel. Use a screwdriver to open the cover. Insert 2 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover and tighten the screw.
  3. Attach Activity Card: Place the double-sided activity card onto the easel's display area. Secure it with the star character clip.
  4. Connect Paintbrush: The light-up paintbrush is pre-attached to the easel by a cord. Ensure it is securely connected.

The VTech Paint and Learn Art Easel offers two primary modes of play:

1. Aratau Ako

  • Whakahiko: Press the On/Off button to activate the easel.
  • Activity Card Interaction: Place one of the double-sided activity cards onto the easel. Use the light-up paintbrush to touch the different areas on the card (letters, numbers, shapes, colors). The easel will respond with corresponding sounds, phrases, and music, teaching letters and numbers.
  • Pātene Whakamarama: Press the 5 light-up buttons on the easel directly or with the paintbrush to hear colors and music.
  • Chunky Piano Keys: Play the colored piano keys to create musical tunes and learn about colors.
  • Spinning Disc Palette: Spin the disc palette for additional sound effects and sensory engagement.

2. Aratau Waiata

  • Switch to Music Mode (if applicable, typically a dedicated button or a toggle on the On/Off switch).
  • In Music Mode, the easel will play various melodies and sounds when interacting with the light-up buttons, piano keys, and activity card areas.

Te Whakarite Teitei

The easel's legs are adjustable to two different heights to accommodate growing children. To adjust the height:

  1. Gently pull the legs outwards from the main unit.
  2. Extend or retract the leg sections to the desired height.
  3. Ensure both legs are set to the same height and are securely locked into position before use.
