- Morahi Uta Rawa: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 75 kg (165 lbs) for the roof rack. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for its specific roof load limit, and never exceed the lower of the two limits.
- Tohatoha Uta: Distribute the load evenly across the roof rack. Secure all cargo firmly to prevent shifting during transit.
- Takitaki auau: Before each trip, and periodically during long journeys, check that all fasteners and mounting points are securely tightened.
- Tere Taraiwa: Adjust your driving speed to suit the load, road conditions, and weather. Avoid sudden braking, acceleration, or sharp turns when carrying a load.
- Teitei Waka: Be aware that the roof rack and any loaded items will increase your vehicle's overall height. Exercise caution when entering garages, car washes, or areas with low overhead clearance.
- Haruru o te Hau: Some wind noise is normal. Ensure all components are correctly installed to minimize noise.
- Tiaki: Regularly inspect the roof rack for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Replace damaged parts immediately.

4. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
Follow these steps for proper installation of your roof rack:
- Whakaritehia to Waka: Ensure your vehicle's roof rails are clean and free from obstructions.
- Assemble Mounting Feet: Attach the mounting feet to the aluminum roof bars. The feet are designed to slide into the channels on the underside of the bars. Adjust their position to match the width of your vehicle's roof rails.
- Position Roof Bars: Place the assembled roof bars onto your vehicle's roof rails. Ensure they are evenly spaced and parallel to each other. The front bar should typically be positioned above the B-pillar, and the rear bar above the C-pillar, but consult your vehicle's manual for recommended spacing.
- Haumaru Clamps: Engage the clamps of the mounting feet around your vehicle's roof rails. For open roof rails, the clamps will grip the underside. For closed roof rails, they will clamp onto the rail itself.

- Whakatikitia nga Piripiri: Use the provided hex key to tighten the fasteners on each mounting foot. Tighten gradually and evenly on both sides to ensure the roof rack is level and securely attached. Do not overtighten, but ensure there is no movement.

- Install Locks: Insert the locks into the designated slots on each mounting foot and turn the key to secure them. This prevents unauthorized removal of the roof rack.

- Taki Whakamutunga: Gently pull and push on each roof bar to ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble. Re-tighten if necessary.

Once installed, the roof rack is ready for use. Observe the following guidelines:
- Uta Uta: Place cargo evenly on the roof bars. Use appropriate tie-downs, straps, or specialized carriers (e.g., bike racks, ski carriers, cargo boxes) to secure items.
- Whakaorangia nga mea katoa: Ensure all items are tightly secured to prevent movement, shifting, or detachment during travel. Loose items can be dangerous and cause damage.

6. Tiaki
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your roof rack:

- Tirotiro: Periodically inspect all components for signs of wear, cracks, corrosion, or damage. Pay close attention to the mounting feet, clamps, and bar integrity.
- Taki Tiaki: Re-check the tightness of all fasteners and mounting bolts every few months, or after significant use, especially off-road driving.
- Whakahinuhinu: If locks become stiff, apply a small amount of graphite lubricant.
