The handsets included in this bundle are pre-registered to the base unit. If a handset becomes unregistered or you purchase additional DS6101 handsets, follow these steps to register them:

  1. Place the handset you wish to register into the base unit's cradle.

  3. On the handset, the screen will display "Registering..." followed by "Handset Registered" and a beep when successful.

Using the Digital Answering System

The DS6151 base unit features a built-in digital answering system with separate mailboxes for each line.

  • Whakaritea: Follow the voice prompts to record your outgoing message and set the number of rings.
  • Purei Karere: Perehi TAKARO/TATA on the base unit or access the answering system menu from any handset.
  • Muku Karere: I te wa o te purei karere, pehia MUMU on the base unit or follow handset prompts.

Phonebook and Caller ID

  • Te Rokiroki i ngā Hoapā: You can store up to 50 names and numbers in the phonebook. Access the phonebook menu on the handset to add, edit, or delete entries.
  • Rārangi Tautuhi Kaiwaea: The system stores up to 50 caller ID entries. Press CID on the handset to review the log. You can call back numbers directly from the log.

This system supports two separate telephone lines. The base unit and handsets have dedicated buttons or indicators for Line 1 and Line 2.
