The Fermax LOFT monitor features an integrated design, a 3.5-inch color display, and is constructed from high-impact ABS plastic with a textured, easy-to-clean finish and UV protection for enhanced durability.
2. Nga korero haumaru

3. Hua Neke Atuview
The Fermax LOFT BUS2 Color 3.5-inch Monitor serves as the indoor unit for your video intercom system. It allows you to see and communicate with visitors at the entrance panel and to open the door.

Wae matua:
- 3.5-inihi te Mata Tae: Displays video from the outdoor entrance panel.
- Totoro: For audio communication with visitors.
- Patene Tuku Kuha: Activates the electric door lock.
- Function Buttons (F1, F2): Programmable for additional system functions (e.g., secondary door release, lighting control).
- Patene Waea: To initiate communication or activate the screen.
- Volume/Brightness Controls: Adjust audio volume and screen brightness (location may vary, refer to specific model diagram).
4. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
The Fermax LOFT monitor utilizes the BUS2 system, which simplifies installation with minimal wiring requirements while ensuring robust performance and high-quality audio/video signals throughout the installation. The system offers maximum immunity to external interference.
4.1 System Capabilities:
- Supports buildings with up to 199 dwellings.
- Accommodates up to 2 entry access points.
- Maximum distance from the first access point to the last dwelling: 250 meters.
- The BUS2 amplifier includes a voice synthesizer as standard.
4.2 Ngā Hipanga Tāutanga (Whānui):
- Whakapiki: Securely mount the monitor to a wall at an appropriate height using the provided mounting bracket and hardware.
- Waea waea: Connect the BUS2 system wiring to the designated terminals on the monitor. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized. Refer to the detailed wiring diagram provided with your specific installation kit.
- Hononga Hiko: Connect the system to the main power supply. Verify that the power supply meets the system's requirements.
- Whirihoranga Pūnaha: After physical installation, the system may require configuration (e.g., addressing the monitor within the BUS2 network). Consult the main system controller manual for detailed programming instructions.
5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
5.1 Te Whiwhi Waea:
When a visitor presses the call button at the entrance panel, the monitor will ring, and the screen will automatically activate, displaying the visitor's image.
5.2 Answering a Call:
Lift the handset to establish two-way audio communication with the visitor. If the screen is off, pressing the call button on the monitor may also activate it and establish communication.
5.3 Door Release:
I te wa e piihia ana, paatohia te Patene Tuku Kuha (often marked with a key symbol) to unlock the entrance door. The BUS2 amplifier's voice synthesizer will announce: "door open, closing after entry."
5.4 Using Function Buttons (F1, F2):
The F1 and F2 buttons can be programmed for various auxiliary functions, such as activating a second door lock, turning on an external light, or calling another monitor within the system. Refer to your system's programming guide for specific functionalities.
5.5 Adjusting Volume and Brightness:
Use the dedicated controls (typically small dials or buttons on the side or bottom of the monitor) to adjust the audio volume of the call and the brightness of the screen display to your preference.
6. Tiaki
6.1 Te horoi:
The monitor is made from high-impact ABS plastic with a textured finish that is easy to clean. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and UV protection.
6.2 Te Tiaki Whānui:
- Ensure the monitor is not exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, despite its UV protection.
- Kaua e ngana ki te whakatuwhera i te mata tirotiroasing; this will void the warranty and may expose you to electrical hazards.
- If the handset cord becomes damaged, contact a qualified technician for replacement.
7. Te Raru
- No Image/Sound: Check that the monitor is properly powered and all BUS2 wiring connections are secure. Verify the entrance panel is functioning correctly.
- Kāore e tuwhera te tatau: Ensure the door release button is pressed firmly during a call. Check the wiring to the electric lock and the status of the BUS2 system's door release module.
- Kounga Ororongo/Ataata Kino: While the BUS2 system offers maximum immunity to interference, ensure there are no strong external electromagnetic sources near the wiring or monitor. Check for loose connections.
- Monitor Not Responding: Try cycling the power to the entire BUS2 system (turn off, wait 30 seconds, turn on). If the issue persists, contact technical support.
