5. Tohutohu Tatūnga
Proper setup is crucial for the correct operation and longevity of your LEDs. Follow these steps:
- Tāutuhia te Polarity: Each LED has two leads. The longer lead is the Anode (+) and the shorter lead is the Cathode (-). Ensure correct polarity when connecting to a power source.
- Current Limiting Resistor: LEDs require a current limiting resistor in series to prevent damage from excessive current. For a 5V supply, a 220Ω to 270Ω resistor is typically recommended. For a 3V-3.2V supply, a resistor may not be strictly necessary if the supply is precisely regulated, but it is always good practice to include one to protect the LED.
- Hononga: Connect the Anode (+) of the LED to the positive terminal of your power supply (via a current limiting resistor). Connect the Cathode (-) to the negative (ground) terminal of your power supply.
- Whakamātautau: Before final integration, test the LED with the appropriate voltage and resistor to ensure it functions correctly.

6. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Once properly connected to a power source within the specified voltage range (3V-3.2V DC) and with a suitable current limiting resistor, the LED will automatically begin its fast blinking, multi-color changing sequence. No external control signals are required for the color change or blinking effect.
The LED will cycle through various combinations of Red, Green, and Blue, creating a dynamic light display. The speed of the color change is inherent to the LED's internal circuitry and cannot be adjusted externally.

7. Tiaki
These LEDs are designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation under normal conditions. To ensure optimal performance and lifespan:
- Pupuri Ma: Ensure the LED lens is free from dust and debris to maintain maximum light output. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning if necessary.
- A ape i te Overvoltage/Overcurrent: Whakamahia i nga wa katoa te voltage and a current limiting resistor. Exceeding these limits will significantly shorten the LED's lifespan or cause immediate failure.
- Te hapai me te tiaki: Avoid bending the leads excessively or applying strong mechanical force to the LED body, as this can damage internal components.
- Rokiroki: Store unused LEDs in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and static electricity.
