The EDS-G512E-8PoE-4GSFP-T switch is designed for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Ensure the installation location provides adequate ventilation and is within the specified operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C).

3. Hononga Whatunga
Connect Ethernet cables to the 10/100/1000BaseT PoE/PoE+ ports for standard network devices and PoE-powered devices. Insert SFP modules into the 100/1000BaseSFP slots for fiber optic connections. Ensure SFP modules are compatible with the switch and your fiber infrastructure.

- PWR1/PWR2: Indicates power status for input 1 and 2. (Green: Power OK, Off: No Power)
- HUNGA: Indicates system fault. (Red: Fault detected, Off: No fault)
- MSTR/CPLR: Indicates redundant ring status.
- Port LEDs (Link/Act): Indicates link status and data activity for each port. (Green: Link established, Blinking Green: Data activity, Off: No link)
- PoE LED: Indicates PoE power status for PoE ports. (Green: PoE power supplied, Off: No PoE power)
3. Whakahaere Whatunga
The EDS-G512E-8PoE-4GSFP-T is a managed switch. It can be configured and monitored via a web-based interface, Telnet/SSH, or SNMP. Refer to the product's software manual for detailed instructions on accessing and configuring the management interface.
