The VTech VT1301-2 is a DECT-compliant twin cordless phone system designed for clear communication and ease of use. It features internal calls between handsets, 3-way conference calling, a 20-name and number phonebook, caller ID display, and multiple ringer melodies.

1. Tāuta Pūhiko me te Whakatau

- Place each handset onto its respective charging base. Ensure the "CHARGE" indicator (if present) illuminates, indicating proper charging.
- Allow the handsets to charge for at least 12-16 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.

- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the main charging base.

- Connect the small end of the power adapter to the POWER jack on the main charging base.

- Position the base unit away from other electrical appliances for optimal performance.

Handset Layout and Keys

- MENU/OK: Accesses the menu, confirms selections.
- Korero: Makes or answers a call, retrieves a call waiting call.
- WATE: Ends a call, returns to idle mode.
- WARU/MUU: Mutes the microphone during a call, deletes characters or entries.
- REDIAL/CID: Displays the Caller ID list, redials the last number.
- ▲/▼ (Navigation Keys): Scrolls through menus, adjusts volume.
- Speakerphone Key: Toggles speakerphone on/off.
- Papapātuhi Tau (0-9, *, #): Enters numbers and characters.
- TENEI: Used for network services like call waiting.

Internal Calls (Intercom)
You can make internal calls between the two handsets.
- From an idle handset, press the Kī Waeawhiti (often represented by a phone icon or specific menu option).
- The other handset will ring.
- To answer, the other handset user presses KORERO.
- To end the intercom call, either handset user presses WATE.
