The SCHUBERTH SC10UA is a high-performance Bluetooth communication system specifically designed for seamless integration into SCHUBERTH C3 Pro, C3 Basic, C3, and E1 helmets. Developed in collaboration with Sena, this system allows riders to communicate, navigate, listen to music, and make phone calls while riding, enhancing the overall riding experience with advanced audio capabilities and intuitive controls.

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SC10UA communication system. Please read it thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

Always prioritize safety while riding. Operating the communication system should not distract you from the road. Ensure the system is securely installed and functioning correctly before each ride.

  • Do not attempt to install or remove the system while riding.

The SC10UA system is designed for integrated installation within specific SCHUBERTH helmets. Follow these steps carefully for proper setup.

4.1 Preparing Your Helmet

Before installation, remove the helmet's neck roll and cheek pads. The SC10UA main unit and battery are housed within the neck roll, while the speakers fit into designated recesses in the helmet's ear areas.

4.2 Installing the Main Unit and Speakers

  1. Carefully insert the SC10UA main unit into the designated slot within the helmet's neck roll. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. Route the speaker wires through the helmet's internal channels to the ear recesses.
  3. Peel the adhesive backing from the speakers and firmly press them into the ear recesses. Ensure the speakers are centered and flat.
  4. Connect the speaker wires to the main unit.
  5. Reinstall the helmet's cheek pads and neck roll, ensuring no wires are pinched.

The boom microphone is designed to be positioned near your mouth for clear voice transmission. Insert the microphone into its designated slot, typically on the left side of the helmet, and adjust its position.

Before first use, fully charge the SC10UA battery using the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the main unit and to a USB power source. The LED indicator will change color to indicate charging status (e.g., red for charging, blue for fully charged).

The SC10UA features intuitive controls integrated into the helmet's design. Familiarize yourself with the button functions.

  • Whakakore Waea: Patohia me te pupuri i te (+) Pihi mo te 2 hēkona.

6. Takirua me te Hononga

The SC10UA uses Bluetooth 4.1 for stable connections with your smartphone, GPS devices, and other communication systems.

6.1 Whakahoahoa me te Waea atamai

  1. With the SC10UA powered off, press and hold the Pātene Pokapū for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.

  3. Select "SCHUBERTH SC10UA" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED will flash blue.

6.2 Intercom Pairing (Four-way Intercom)

The SC10UA supports up to four-way intercom communication. For optimal performance, pair devices in the order they will be used in the group.

  1. Ensure both SC10UA units are powered on.
  2. On the first unit, press and hold the Pātene Pokapū for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red.
  3. On the second unit, press and hold the Pātene Pokapū for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red.
  4. The units will automatically connect. Repeat for additional units.

6.3 Whakawhitiwhiti Waenganui Ao

The Universal Intercom feature allows the SC10UA to connect with non-Sena Bluetooth communication systems. Refer to the specific instructions for the third-party device for pairing in Universal Intercom mode.

7.1 Tiritahi Waiata

Share your music with another SC10UA user during an intercom conversation. While music is playing, press and hold the (+) Pihi for 1 second to initiate music sharing.

7.2 FM Radio

The SC10UA includes an integrated FM radio. To turn the FM radio on or off, press and hold the (-) Pihi for 1 second. Use the (+) a (-) buttons to scan for stations.

7.3 Advanced Noise Control™

This feature automatically reduces background noise from wind and road, ensuring clearer audio for both incoming and outgoing communication. This function is always active.

7.4 Reo Aki

The system provides voice prompts for various operations, such as power on/off, pairing status, and battery level, to guide you without needing to look at the device.

7.5 SCHUBERTH Headset App

Download the SCHUBERTH Headset App for iOS and Android devices to configure settings, save radio stations, manage speed dial numbers, and perform firmware updates conveniently from your smartphone.
