The VIOFO A129 Pro Duo is a dual-channel dash cam system. The front camera records in stunning 4K resolution, while the rear camera captures 1080P video, providing comprehensive coverage of your vehicle's surroundings.

- Attach the 3M adhesive pad to the rear camera holder.
- Mount the rear camera on the rear window, ensuring a clear view.
- Connect the rear camera cable to the rear camera and route it to the front camera.

5.1. Te Whakakaha/Weto
The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to your vehicle's power and the engine starts. It will power off automatically when the engine is turned off.
5.2. Roopu Hopu
The dash cam records video in continuous loops. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be overwritten automatically. You can set the loop recording duration in the camera settings.
5.3. Emergency Recording (G-sensor)
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden movements or impacts. When triggered, the current video segment is automatically locked to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording. You can also manually lock a video file by pressing the emergency button on the camera or using the optional Bluetooth remote control.

6.1. Aratau Waka
The A129 Pro Duo offers three parking modes for continuous surveillance when your vehicle is parked:
- Auto Event Detection: The camera will automatically start recording once an event (e.g., impact or motion) is detected. It records 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the event.
- Te Waahi: Records video continuously at a low frame rate (e.g., 1/2/3/5/10/15 fps), compressing hours of footage into minutes.
- Te Rekoata Tereiti Iti: Records continuously at a low bitrate, saving storage space while maintaining video quality.
A hardwire kit (sold separately) is recommended for continuous power to enable parking mode.

6.2. Hononga Wi-Fi
The built-in dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) allows you to connect your smartphone to the dash cam via the VIOFO app. This enables you to view ora footage, download recorded videos, change settings, and update firmware wirelessly. The 5GHz Wi-Fi offers faster transfer speeds.

6.3. Kaitohu GPS
The integrated GPS module records your vehicle's speed, location, and route data. This information is embedded in the video files a ka taea viewed using the VIOFO GPS Player software on a computer. The GPS also automatically synchronizes the camera's time.

6.4. Super Capacitor
The A129 Pro Duo uses a super capacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery. This provides greater durability and reliability, especially in extreme temperatures (from -10°C to 65°C), ensuring stable power and longer lifespan.

7. Te Whakahaere Kāri Mahara
A high-quality MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, U3 recommended) up to 256GB is required for recording. It is recommended to format the memory card regularly (at least once a month) within the camera's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
8. Whakahoutanga Firmware
VIOFO regularly releases firmware updates to improve performance and add new features. You can download the latest firmware from the official VIOFO website and update it via the MicroSD card or the VIOFO app.

If you encounter any issues with your VIOFO A129 Pro Duo, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
