The keypad includes numerical buttons from 0 to 9, a light/bell symbol button, and a key symbol button. The 'Hormann' logo is visible at the bottom of the device.

5.3 Programming with Gate Operator

The FCT3-1 BS must be programmed to your specific Hormann gate operator(s). The exact programming procedure varies depending on your gate operator model. Refer to the instruction manual of your Hormann gate operator for detailed steps on how to pair a new wireless code switch. Generally, this involves:

  • Activating the programming mode on your gate operator.
  • Entering a desired code on the FCT3-1 BS keypad.
  • Confirming the code and transmitting the signal to the operator.
  • Testing the functionality.

The FCT3-1 BS supports controlling up to three different gate operators or functions. Each operator/function will require its own unique code and programming sequence.

6. Operating the Code Switch

6.1 Te Whakauru i tētahi Waehere

To operate a programmed gate operator:

  1. Press the numerical keys to enter your pre-programmed code.
  2. After entering the full code, press the key symbol button (bottom right) to transmit the signal.
  3. The gate operator should respond according to its programming (e.g., open, close, stop).

6.2 Keypad Illumination

The keypad features illumination for use in low-light conditions. The illumination activates automatically upon pressing any key. It will remain lit for a short period after the last key press.

Ko te light/bell symbol button (bottom left) can be used to activate the illumination without sending a command, or if programmed, to trigger a specific function on your gate operator (e.g., turn on an external light, ring a bell, if supported by your operator).

7. Tiaki

7.1 Whakakapinga Pūhiko

When the batteries are low, the keypad illumination may dim or the transmission range may decrease. Replace the batteries as follows:
