Follow these steps to set up your Ring R20 Dashcam:

  1. Kōkuhu Kāri SD Micro: Ensure the dashcam is powered off. Carefully insert a compatible Micro SD card (up to 32GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
  2. Tāpirihia te Maunga Aukume: Secure the magnetic mount to your vehicle's windshield. Choose a location that does not obstruct your view of the road. Ensure the windshield surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
  3. Mount Dashcam: Attach the Ring R20 Dashcam to the magnetic mount. The magnetic connection will hold it securely.
  4. Hono Hono: Plug the connection lead into the dashcam and then into your vehicle's 12V power socket (cigarette lighter). Route the cable safely to avoid interference with driving controls.
  5. Whakahiko: Start your vehicle. The dashcam is designed for plug-and-play operation and should power on automatically.

  • G-Sensor (Raunga Tutukinga): An integrated G-Sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. In the event of an incident, the current recording is automatically locked and saved to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording.
  • ā-ringa File Maukati: You can manually lock important video files to prevent them from being overwritten. Refer to the dashcam's on-screen menu or the mobile app for this function.
  • Matakitenga po: The dashcam features night vision capabilities to ensure clear recording even in low-light conditions.
  • Hononga Wi-Fi: Use the dedicated mobile application to connect to your dashcam via Wi-Fi. This allows you to view ora footage, review recorded videos, download files to your smartphone, and adjust device settings.
