Q2: The camera is not detected when searching for LAN cameras, even when connected via LAN cable.

A: Ensure both the camera and your smartphone/PC are connected to the same network when searching for LAN cameras. If it's still not recognized, please try connecting wirelessly by referring to sections 2.2.1 to 2.2.3 of the manual.

Q3: I cannot connect via Wi-Fi.

A: If you are unable to connect via Wi-Fi, please check the following:

  1. The Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password must not contain spaces or special characters such as '-', '#', or '@'. Please verify.
  2. Confirm that you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band. The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and is not compatible with 5GHz.
  3. Ensure the camera and your smartphone are connected to the same network.

Q4: The wireless LAN connection suddenly dropped while viewing on my smartphone. What could be the cause?

A: The wireless connection may occasionally drop due to radio wave environment conditions. If the connection does not recover after a few minutes, try turning off the camera's power, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on to restart. If the issue persists, please contact customer support.

Q5: I downloaded an H.264 recording file, but I cannot play it on my PC.

A: H.264 format recordings saved on an SD card can be played online using the Camhi app or HiP2P Client. To play downloaded recordings on a PC, you need to download and install HiPlayer. HiPlayer can be downloaded from the official website (HX Wireless Series - PC Software - 4 - HiPlayer_Setup_v1.2.zip).

Q6: The camera's direction changed unexpectedly. Is it a malfunction?

A: To prevent excessive load on the CPU and memory during long periods of operation, the camera is set by default to automatically restart every Friday at 3 AM. During a restart, the camera will rotate once in all directions (up, down, left, right). This rotation might give the impression that the surveillance direction has changed. This is normal operation. To disable scheduled restarts: Log in via browser (IE) ⇒ Settings ⇒ Advanced ⇒ Restart time (off).

Q7: Since January 1, 2025, alarm saving from the IP camera to the FTP server has stopped working.

A: As of January 1, 2025, the encryption method for FTP has changed. Files can no longer be saved to previous folders and can only be saved to the root directory. For detailed explanations and solutions, please check the official website (HX Series - FTP Manual Folder Creation Method).
