3.2 Āpitihanga Hopuoro
- Identify the microphone port on the left earcup.
- Gently insert the microphone boom into the port until it clicks into place.
- Adjust the microphone's position for optimal voice pickup, typically near the corner of your mouth.
3.3 Headset Adjustment

Important Note: The military connector is compatible only with Earmor PTTs or TCI/Nexus PTTs. It is not compatible with Element or Z-T PTTs due to different wiring configurations.

4. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
4.1 Hiko / Whakaweto
- To power on, press and hold the power button (usually located on one of the earcups) for approximately 2 seconds until you hear an audible tone.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again for approximately 2 seconds until you hear a different audible tone.
4.2 Mana Rōrahi
- Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the earcup to adjust the ampte taumata māramatanga o ngā oro taiao.
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable level that allows for clear situational awareness without discomfort.
4.3 Communication (with PTT adapter)
- Once a compatible PTT adapter is connected to your radio, press the PTT button to transmit your voice.
- Release the PTT button to receive incoming transmissions.
4.4 Auto Shut-off Feature
The headset is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature that activates after 4 hours of inactivity to conserve battery life. To resume operation, simply power the headset back on.
