2.3 Tāuta Whakawhiti
The SplitShot Skimmer Transducer should be mounted in a location that provides an unobstructed view of the water beneath your boat. Common mounting locations include the transom or within the hull (for shoot-through-hull applications, consult a professional). Ensure the transducer cable is routed safely, avoiding sharp edges and interference with other electronics.
2.4 Hononga Hiko
Connect the power cable to a 12 Volt DC power source. Ensure the fuse and fuse holder are correctly installed in the positive lead of the power cable to protect the unit from power surges. Always disconnect power before performing any wiring or maintenance.

For enhanced fish identification, utilize FishReveal, which overlays fish arches from CHIRP sonar onto high-resolution DownScan Imaging views. Access sonar settings through the main menu to customize frequency, sensitivity, and range as needed.
3.4 Chartplotter and Mapping (C-MAP, Genesis Live)

Your HOOK Reveal 5 comes with a C-MAP Discoverer Card for detailed navigation. To create custom 1/2-foot contour maps in real-time, use Genesis Live. Insert a blank microSD card into the unit's card slot to record and save your custom maps.
