4.3 Wiring Hoahoa

The wiring kit includes labeled cables. Ensure each connection is made correctly according to the diagram and your vehicle's wiring specifications. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the unit or vehicle.

  • Hononga Hiko: Connect ACC, B+, and GND wires to the corresponding vehicle power sources.
  • Putanga Tukuoro: Connect the 4 speaker output wires (FL+, FL-, FR+, FR-, RL+, RL-, RR+, RR-) to your vehicle's speakers.
  • Mana urungi (SWC): Connect KEY1 and KEY2 cables to your vehicle's steering wheel remote control wires.
  • Tāuru Kāmera Tārua: Use the dedicated cable for the included backup camera.
  • Whakauru USB: Utilize the dual USB adapter cables for external devices.

After successful installation, power on the unit and follow these steps for initial configuration:

  • Tīpakonga Reo: The system supports multiple languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese. Select your preferred language from the settings menu.
  • Tohu Pūtu: You can customize the boot logo to match your car's brand from the system settings.

  • Takirua: Go to Bluetooth settings on the stereo and your phone. Rapua available devices and select the stereo's name to pair.

7.2 WiFi

7.3 Mirror-Link (Easy Connection)

  • iPhone: Connect via USB or Wi-Fi. Bluetooth connection is not required for Mirror-Link. Install the "Easy Connection" app on your iPhone.
  • Mana: Android phones support two-way control (phone to radio or radio to phone). iPhones support one-way control (phone to radio).

8.1 Whakahoki Ororongo

Enjoy high-fidelity audio from various sources, including USB, Bluetooth, and radio.

  • Kai-rite: Access the equalizer settings to adjust sound effects and music styles (e.g., Pop, Rock, Jazz, Custom). You can also adjust the volume balance for individual speakers.

8.2 Purei Whakaata Ataata

11. Te Mana Whakahaere o te Wira Urunga (SWC)

If your vehicle supports steering wheel controls, you can connect the stereo to these controls using the KEY1 and KEY2 wires in the wiring kit. This allows you to operate basic functions (e.g., volume, track change) without taking your hands off the steering wheel.
