5.1 Mounting the Key Box
The key box is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for secure installation:
- Choose a suitable location on a solid wall.
- Using the key box as a template, mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall.
- Drill holes at the marked positions using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type.

- Open the key box door using the current combination.
- Locate the reset lever or button on the inside edge of the lock mechanism (refer to Figure 4.2 for general location).
- While the door is open, push the reset lever from position A to B (or press the reset button).
- Set your desired new 3-digit combination by rotating the dials.
- Return the reset lever from position B to A (or release the reset button).
- Hiranga: Before closing the door, test the new combination several times with the door open to ensure it works correctly.
- Scramble the dials and close the door. Your new combination is now set.
Tuhipoka: It is highly recommended to write down your new combination and store it in a secure location, separate from the key box.
6.3 Using Key Rings
The provided colored key rings help organize your keys. Attach one key to each ring and hang them on the hooks inside the key box. The different colors can be used for categorization.
