The parent unit features a 3.2-inch LCD screen for clear video display, control buttons for various functions, and an antenna for signal reception.

3.2 Waeine Pepe (Kamera)

The baby unit includes the camera lens, infrared LEDs for night vision, a microphone for audio detection, and a temperature sensor.

4. Aratohu Tatūnga

4.1 Tatūnga Tuatahi

  1. Utuhia te Wāhanga Matua: Connect the parent unit to a power outlet using its adapter. Fully charge the battery before first use (approximately 8 hours).
  2. Whakatakotoria te Wāhanga Pēpi: Whakatakotoria te kāmera (te kāmera) ki tētahi wāhi e mārama ai te tirohanga view of your baby's crib or play area. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the baby to avoid potential hazards.
  3. Connect Baby Unit to Power: Plug the baby unit into a power outlet using its adapter.
  4. Whakahiko: Turn on both the parent unit and baby unit. They should automatically connect.

4.2 Secure Connection & Range

The HelloBaby HB32 uses 2.4GHz FHSS technology for a secure, private connection that does not rely on Wi-Fi or mobile applications. This ensures your privacy and prevents unauthorized access.

The monitor offers an impressive range of up to 1000 feet (300 meters) in an open area, allowing you to move freely around your home while staying connected.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere

5.1 Nga Mahi Taketake

  • Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Press and hold the Power button on the parent unit.
  • Mana Rōrahi: Use the volume buttons on the parent unit to adjust the sound level.
  • Tirohanga Mata: Adjust screen brightness through the menu settings.

5.2 Korero Rua-Waahi

To speak to your baby, press and hold the Talk button on the parent unit. Release the button to hear your baby's sounds.

5.3 Tirohanga Pō Whero

The baby unit automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black and white image of your baby without disturbing their sleep.

5.4 Aratau VOX (Whakawhiti Reo)

In VOX mode, the monitor screen will automatically turn on when it detects sound from your baby, and turn off after a period of silence. This conserves battery life and ensures you are only alerted when needed.

5.5 Room Temperature Monitoring

The baby unit has a built-in temperature sensor that displays the room temperature on the parent unit, helping you ensure a comfortable environment for your baby.

5.6 Whakatangitangitangi

Select from 8 pre-programmed lullabies to help soothe your baby to sleep. Access this feature through the parent unit's menu.

5.7 Topa Mamati

Use the digital zoom function to get a closer look at your baby. This feature allows you to zoom in on the video feed for more detail.

6. Tiaki

  • Te horoi: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the parent and baby units. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Tiaki Pūhiko: To prolong battery life, fully charge the parent unit before first use and avoid completely draining the battery frequently. If storing for a long period, charge the battery every few months.
