To attach the EF-S 18-55mm lens:

Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the battery pack with the electrical contacts facing inward, then close the cover until it locks.

Open the memory card slot cover. Insert an SD card (Class 10 recommended) with the label facing the rear of the camera until it clicks into place. Close the cover.

Set the power switch to 'ON' to turn on the camera. Set it to 'OFF' when not in use.

3. Te arotahi
The camera features a 9-point autofocus system. You can select between autofocus (AF) and manual focus (MF) using the switch on the lens. In AF mode, half-press the shutter button to focus.
