This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Barska AX13744 2.02 Cu Ft Fireproof Biometric Safe. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and use. The safe is designed to provide high security for your valuables with thick steel construction, fire protection, and multiple access options.

- Always keep emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.

4. Tatūnga
4.1. Tāuta Pūhiko

- Insert the 4 AA batteries (included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).

4.2. Initial Access and Opening
Upon first use, open the safe using the emergency keys:
- Locate the keyhole cover on the electronic keypad.
- Tangohia te uhi kia kitea te kohao matua.
- Insert one of the emergency keys and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the handle to open the safe door.
- Once open, you can proceed with programming fingerprints and PIN codes.
4.3. Whakaeke i te Haumaru
The safe is designed for floor mounting to enhance security. Use the provided mounting hardware.
- Choose a suitable location for the safe, ensuring a stable surface.
- Mark the pre-drilled mounting points on the floor through the safe's base.
- Drill pilot holes into the floor at the marked locations.
- Position the safe over the holes and secure it using the provided bolts and anchors.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
5.1. Biometric Fingerprint Access
The safe can store up to 160 distinct fingerprints.
- To program a fingerprint, press the programming button located inside the safe.
- Place your finger on the biometric scanner. The indicator light will confirm successful scanning.
- Repeat the scan multiple times for better accuracy.
- To open the safe, place a registered finger on the scanner. Once recognized, turn the handle to open.
5.2. Keypad PIN Code Access
The safe supports up to 2 unique PIN codes.
- To program a PIN code, press the programming button inside the safe.
- Enter your desired PIN code (4-8 digits) on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
- Repeat the process to confirm the PIN code.
- To open the safe, enter your programmed PIN code followed by '#'. Once confirmed, turn the handle to open.
5.3. Emergency Key Access
In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, use the emergency keys as described in Section 4.2.

5.4. Pūnaha Whakaoho
- Motion Sensor Alarm: The safe features a programmable motion sensor alarm that will activate if the safe is disturbed.
- Aratau Maukati: The safe will enter a lockout mode after 3 incorrect PIN codes or 5 unsuccessful fingerprint scans.
- Programmable Silent Access Mode: This mode allows for discreet entry without audible feedback. Refer to the full manual for programming details.
5.5. Maama LED o roto
The safe is equipped with an internal LED light that illuminates the interior when the door is opened, improving visibility of contents.
5.6. Whata Whakaritea
The two included shelves can be adjusted to different heights to accommodate various item sizes. Simply remove the shelf brackets, reposition them to the desired height, and reinsert the shelves.
