- Kōwhiringa Pae: Choose appropriate locations for both indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper airflow, drainage, and structural support.
- Whakapiki: Securely mount the indoor unit on a wall and the outdoor unit on a stable surface or wall bracket.
- Hononga paipa: Connect the refrigerant lines between the indoor and outdoor units. This requires specialized tools and knowledge to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity.
- Waea hiko: Connect the power supply and communication cables according to the wiring diagram provided in the installation manual.

- Ensure the power supply to the outdoor unit is disconnected.
- Carefully remove any leaves, dust, or obstructions from the coil fins and fan blades.
- Do not bend the fins. If they are bent, gently straighten them.
