5. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your solar charge controller. Ensure all connections are secure and follow the recommended wiring sequence.
5.1. Te Whakamau i te Kaiwhakahaere
- Mount the controller in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Ensure sufficient clearance around the unit for proper airflow, especially around the exhaust fans and the back fence mesh design for heat dissipation.
- The controller should be mounted vertically on a non-flammable surface.
5.2. Hononga Waea
Follow the wiring sequence below to prevent damage:
- Tūhono te Pūhiko: First, connect the battery to the controller's battery terminals. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). The controller will automatically detect the 12V or 24V system voltage.
- Honoa ngā Paewhiri Rā: Next, connect the solar panels to the controller's solar terminals. Verify correct polarity.
- Tūhono te Uta (Kōwhiringa): Hei whakamutunga, honoa ō kawenga DC ki ngā pito kawenga o te kaiwhakahaere.
The power terminals accommodate 10 AWG wiring. For optimal performance, use appropriate wire gauges for all connections.

6. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Once installed, the controller will begin operating automatically. The built-in LCD display provides real-time information about your solar system.
6.1. LCD Display and Monitoring
The blacklight LCD display shows various parameters simultaneously, including:
- Papa Panui Voltage (PV) and Current (A)
- Pūhiko Voltage (BATT) and State of Charge (%)
- Uta Voltage (LOAD) and Current (A)
- Cumulative power (KWH)
- Te Paemahana Ambient
- Charging Faults or Errors
- Load Status (ON/OFF)
The controller automatically tracks real-time data changes in these parameters, providing a comprehensive overview of your system's performance.
6.2. External Display (Optional)
