The Sena SF2-03D SF2 Bluetooth Communication System is designed to provide reliable two-way intercom communication and smartphone connectivity for riders. This system facilitates rider-to-passenger communication and allows for simultaneous enjoyment of music and intercom functions.

Tatūnga

1. Tāutanga

Install the main unit, speakers, and microphone securely into your helmet according to the helmet's design and Sena's general installation guidelines. Ensure speakers are positioned directly over your ears for optimal audio quality and the microphone is close to your mouth.

2. Ka tohatohahia te Pūrere

Before initial use, fully charge the SF2 unit. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the side of the unit (refer to Figure 3) and plug it into a USB power source. The LED indicator will change color to indicate charging status and full charge.

3. Whakahoahoa me te Waea atamai

  1. With the SF2 unit powered off, press and hold the central button until the LED flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Select 'Sena SF2' from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED on the SF2 unit will change to a solid blue or flash slowly.

  • Whakahiko: Press and hold the central button and the '+' button simultaneously for 1 second.
  • Weto Whakakore: Press and hold the central button and the '+' button simultaneously for 5 seconds.

2. Whakawhitiwhiti Kōrero ā-Ipurangi

The SF2 supports 2-way intercom communication between a rider and a passenger. To initiate intercom:

  • Ensure both SF2 units are powered on and within range (up to 800m in open terrain).
  • Briefly press the central button on either unit to start or end an intercom conversation.

3. Music Playback and Audio Overlay

Once paired with your smartphone, you can stream music. The Audio Overlay feature allows you to listen to music while maintaining an active intercom conversation.

  • Purei/Tatari Puoro: Press the central button for 1 second.
  • Riu Panuku: Press the '+' button for 1 second.
  • Riu o mua: Press the '-' button for 1 second.

4. Mana Rōrahi

Adjust the volume for music, intercom, and phone calls using the '+' and '-' buttons.

  • Whakanuia te Volume: Briefly press the '+' button.
  • Whakaheke Rahi: Briefly press the '-' button.

Te tiaki

1. Te horoi

Regularly clean the exterior of the SF2 unit with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the device. Ensure the USB port cover is closed when not charging to prevent dust and moisture ingress.

2. Rokiroki

When not in use for extended periods, store the SF2 system in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to charge the battery to approximately 50% before long-term storage to preserve battery health.
