3. Hua Neke Atuview

3.1 Main Dash Cam Unit

The main unit features a 1.5-inch IPS display, a 4K front camera with a 160-degree wide angle, and controls for various functions. It includes a built-in G-sensor and supports loop recording. The unit is designed for discreet mounting behind the rearview whakaata.

3.2 Kamera Whakamuri

The compact rear camera records in 1080P with a 150-degree wide angle, providing comprehensive coverage of the vehicle's rear. It connects to the main unit via a long cable, allowing for flexible installation.

4. Tatūnga & Tāuta

4.1 Tatūnga Tuatahi

  1. Kōkuhu Kāri SD: Insert the provided 64GB SD card into the main dash cam unit.
  2. Hono Hono: Honoa te rihi waka ki te waeine matua o te kāmera papaaho.
  3. Honoa te Kāmera Whakamuri: Plug the rear camera cable into the designated port on the main dash cam unit.

4.2 Te Whakamau i te Kāmera Papaaho

  1. Matapihi Horoi: Ensure the area on your windshield where the dash cam will be mounted is clean and dry.
  2. Tāpirihia te Wāhanga Matua: Apply the adhesive pad to the dash cam mount and firmly press it onto the windshield, ideally behind the rearview whakaata mo te tino pai view and minimal obstruction.
  3. Whakarite Koki: Adjust the main unit's angle to capture the desired front view.
  4. Maunga Whakamuri Camera: Attach the rear camera to the rear windshield using its adhesive pad. Ensure the lens faces outwards and captures a clear view o te tuara.

4.3 Whakahaere taura

Route the power cable and rear camera cable along the edges of your windshield and interior panels to keep them tidy and out of the way. Use the provided installation tool to tuck cables under trim. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.

5.1 Hiko / Whakaweto

The dash cam automatically powers on and begins recording when your vehicle starts. It powers off automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

5.2 Aratau Tuhituhi

  • Te Hopu Rekoata Takirua: Simultaneously captures 4K footage from the front camera and 1080P from the rear camera.
  • Roopu Hopu: The dash cam continuously records, overwriting the oldest files when the SD card is full to ensure uninterrupted recording. Video segments can be set to 1, 3, or 5-minute durations.
  • G-Sensor: Detects sudden collisions or impacts and automatically locks the corresponding footage hei ārai i te tuhirua.
  • Aratau Waka 24-Haora: (Requires optional hardwire kit) Provides continuous surveillance when your car is parked. Time-lapse recording condenses video to save storage.

5.3 Mana Reo

Control the dash cam hands-free using voice commands. Commands include "turn on/off recording audio," "take photos," and "lock video."

6. App Control (Pelsee Cam)

The "Pelsee Cam" app, available for iOS and Android, allows you to connect to the dash cam via built-in Wi-Fi. Through the app, you can:

8. Te Raru

  • Kāore te Kāmera Papaaho e Whakakā ana: Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's 12V socket. Check the vehicle's fuse for the cigarette lighter.

    • Verify the SD card is inserted correctly and is not full. Format the SD card if necessary.
    • Ensure loop recording is enabled in settings.
