3. Aratohu Tatūnga
3.1 Step 1: Unboxing and Placement

- Place the router in a central location in your home or office, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and direct sunlight. An elevated position is recommended for optimal signal distribution.
- Orient the four external antennas vertically for best performance.
3.2 Step 2: Connecting the Router
- Hono ki te Pouwhanga: Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the WAN port (blue) on the back of the router. Connect the other end to the LAN port on your modem or existing internet connection device.
- Tūhono ki te Hiko: Plug the power adapter into the router's power input port and then into a standard electrical outlet. The Power LED on the front of the router should illuminate.
- Tūhono Pūrere (Kōwhiringa): For wired connections, connect your computer or other network devices to any of the yellow Gigabit LAN ports on the router using Ethernet cables.
3.3 Step 3: Initial Configuration (Web Atanga)
- Pouara Uru: Tuwhera a web browser on a computer connected to the router (either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet). In the address bar, type the default IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and press Enter. Refer to the sticker on the bottom of your router for the exact default IP address and login credentials.
- Takiuru: Tāuruhia te ingoa kaiwhakamahi me te kupuhipa taunoa (he mea noa kaiwhakahaere/kaiwhakahaere or kaiwhakahaere/kupuhipa). You will be prompted to change these for security.
- Whakahaere Ruānuku Tatūnga: Follow the on-screen setup wizard to configure your internet connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) and set up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
- Tiaki Tautuhinga: Save your configuration settings and reboot the router if prompted.

4.1 Hononga Pūrere
- Hononga Wi-Fi: On your wireless device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the SSID you configured during setup (e.g., "MyHomeWiFi_2.4G" or "MyHomeWiFi_5G") and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Hononga Waea: Connect devices such as desktop computers, gaming consoles, or smart TVs to the router's yellow LAN ports using Ethernet cables for a stable and high-speed connection.
4.2 Dual-Band Operation (2.4GHz and 5GHz)

Shows the 2.4GHz band (up to 300Mbps) for wider coverage and better penetration, and the 5GHz band (up to 867Mbps) for faster speeds and less interference, ideal for streaming and gaming.
The LV-AC22 router operates on two distinct Wi-Fi bands:
- 2.4GHz Band: Provides wider coverage and better penetration through walls and obstacles. Ideal for general internet use like browsing, email, and connecting older devices. Max speed 300Mbps.
- 5GHz Band: Offers faster speeds and less interference, making it suitable for bandwidth-intensive activities such as online gaming, HD video streaming, and large file transfers. Max speed 867Mbps.
You can connect your devices to either band based on your needs and device compatibility.
4.3 Hangarau MU-MIMO

The LV-AC22 router incorporates MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology. This allows the router to communicate with multiple devices simultaneously, rather than sequentially. This significantly improves network efficiency, reduces wait times, and enhances throughput for every connected device, especially in environments with many Wi-Fi clients.
4.4 Tautuhinga Arā Atu Anō
