1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the clock by twisting it counter-clockwise to the 'OPEN' position.
2. Insert one fresh, brand-name standard 1 AA alkaline battery according to the polarity marked on the case. For extended battery life (up to 5 years), insert two additional 'AA' batteries into the designated compartments.
3. Replace the battery cover by twisting it clockwise to the 'CLOSE' position.

After battery installation, the clock hands will move to the 4, 8, or 12 o’clock position and pause while it searches for the WWVB Atomic Time Signal. This process can take up to 5 nights for the clock to receive the transmission. For best reception, position the clock on an exterior wall that faces Fort Collins, Colorado.

Once the Atomic Time Signal is received, the clock will initially set to Pacific Time.

3. Setting Your Time Zone

On the back of the clock, locate the time zone switch. Slide the switch to your correct time zone (P-Pacific, M-Mountain, C-Central, E-Eastern). Firmly press and hold your correct Time Zone Button until the hands begin to spin. The time will then set correctly.
