Follow these steps to set up your HelloBaby HB6550 Baby Monitor system:
1. Te Whakakaha i ngā Wāhanga
- Waeine Matua: The parent unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. Charge it fully before first use using one of the provided AC power adapters.
- Baby Units (Cameras): Each camera unit requires continuous power. Connect each camera to a power outlet using the provided AC power adapters.

2. Positioning the Cameras
Place the baby units (cameras) in locations that provide a clear view of your baby. Ensure they are out of reach of children and at least 5-6 feet (1.5-2 meters) away from the baby to avoid buzzing sounds. The cameras can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall or crib using the included screws.
- For optimal signal, lift the ANTENNA on the monitor.
- Avoid placing cameras near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
3. Pairing Cameras (if necessary)
Your cameras should come pre-paired. If you need to add or re-pair a camera:
- Turn on both the parent unit and the camera you wish to pair.
- Access the camera pairing menu on the parent unit (refer to the on-screen menu for specific steps).
- Press the pairing button on the back of the camera unit. The monitor should display the camera's video feed once successfully paired.

Remote Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ)
Use the directional buttons on the parent unit to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle. The camera offers 355 degrees of horizontal pan and 120 degrees of vertical tilt. Optical zoom (2x) allows for closer inspection.

Korero Takirua
Press and hold the microphone button on the parent unit to speak to your baby through the camera's speaker. Release the button to hear your baby's sounds.

VOX Mode (Voice Operated Exchange)
In VOX mode, the monitor screen will automatically turn on when sound is detected from the baby's room, conserving battery life. You can adjust the sensitivity level of the VOX feature in the settings menu.

The monitor includes 8 pre-programmed lullabies to help soothe your baby. Access and control the lullabies through the parent unit's menu.

The cameras are equipped with advanced infrared night vision, automatically activating in low-light conditions to provide a clear black-and-white image of your baby, even in complete darkness.

Feeding Time Reminders
Set customizable feeding time reminders on the parent unit to help maintain your baby's feeding schedule.

The system offers a range of up to 1000 feet (300 meters) in open areas. Obstacles like walls and floors may reduce the effective range.
Te tiaki
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your baby monitor:
- Te horoi: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor and camera units. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Tiaki Pūhiko: For the parent unit, avoid extreme temperatures. If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
- Turanga: Ensure cameras are placed in stable locations to prevent accidental falls.
