3. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
Follow these steps to properly install your Insta360 X4 camera into the waterproof housing:
- Whakapaia te Kāmera: Ensure your Insta360 X4 camera is clean and free of any debris or moisture.
- Whakatuwheratia te Whare: Locate the buckle latches on both sides of the waterproof case. Gently lift and unlatch them to open the housing.

- Insert Anti-fog Sheets: Place the provided anti-fog sheets inside the housing to prevent condensation, especially in humid or cold conditions. Distribute them evenly to avoid obstructing the lens view.
- Whakauruhia te Kāmera: Carefully slide your Insta360 X4 camera into the housing, ensuring it is seated correctly and securely. Make sure the camera's lenses align with the housing's optical spherical lenses.
- Katia me te raka: Close the housing firmly, ensuring the rubber seal is properly seated around the entire perimeter. Press down on the top of the housing and secure both buckle latches until they click into place. Verify that the housing is completely sealed.
- Attach Mount (Optional): Use the invisible adapter and long screw to attach the housing to compatible mounts or accessories, such as a selfie stick or tripod.
Before first use, it is highly recommended to perform a waterproof test without the camera inside. Submerge the empty housing in water for at least 30 minutes to check for any leaks. If no water enters, the housing is ready for use with your camera.

5. Tiaki me te Tiaki
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your waterproof housing.
- Whai muri i ia Whakamahinga: Rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water immediately after use in saltwater or chlorinated water. This prevents salt or chlorine buildup that can damage seals and components.
- whakamaroke: Allow the housing to air dry completely in a cool, shaded area. Do not use heat to dry it.
- Te horoi: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lens and housing body. For stubborn spots, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a thorough rinse. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Tirohanga Hiri: Regularly inspect the rubber O-ring seal for any signs of damage, cracks, or debris. A clean, well-maintained seal is crucial for waterproof integrity. If necessary, gently clean the O-ring with a soft cloth and apply a thin layer of silicone grease (not included) to keep it pliable.
- Rokiroki: Store the housing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to store the housing with the latches open to relieve pressure on the O-ring.
