3. Tatūnga
3.1 Awhiowhio Tuatahi
Your Orient Bambino watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. It winds itself through the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, it may require initial winding.
- To hand-wind the watch, unscrew the crown (if applicable) and turn it clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Once started, wearing the watch for 8-10 hours daily will keep it wound. The watch has a 40-hour power reserve when fully wound.
3.2 Tautuhi Wā me te Rā
- Pull the crown out to Position 2 (first click) to set the date. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired date appears. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- Pull the crown out to Position 3 (second click) to set the time. The seconds hand will stop (hacking feature). Turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure you differentiate between AM and PM when setting the date.
- Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into Position 1 (normal operating position). If the crown is screw-down, gently push and screw it back in to ensure water resistance.

The watch features a "hacking" function, which means the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out to the time-setting position (Position 3). This allows for precise time synchronization.
