The Kadonio Model 406 is designed for easy installation on standard US doors, typically fitting door thicknesses from 1-3/8'' to 2'' (35mm-50mm) and backsets of 2-3/8'' (60mm) or 2-3/4'' (70mm). No wiring or additional drilling is usually required.

  4. Install Front Handle Assembly: Insert the front handle assembly (with connecting pillars and square bar) through the door, aligning the square bar with the latch mechanism.
  5. Install Rear Handle: Connect the power cord from the front handle to the rear handle assembly. Align the rear handle with the connecting pillars and square bar, then secure the rear handle and front handle together using the connecting screws.
  6. Kōkuhu Pūhiko: Open the battery compartment on the rear handle. Install 4 AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

After physical installation, configure your lock using the mobile application and set up your preferred unlocking methods.

This video guides you through connecting the lock to the Tuya app, setting up fingerprints, creating passwords, and changing the lock's language.

5.1 APP Connection (Tuya Bluetooth App)

  4. Touch any button on the lock handle to activate it.

5.2 Fingerprint Setting

  1. In the app, navigate to [Member Management].
  2. Select the administrator interface (usually labeled 'Me' or 'Admin').

  4. Follow the prompts in the app. Place your finger on the fingerprint recognition area of the door lock, lifting and repositioning it slightly several times until registration is complete.

  2. Pāwhiri [Get Code] to generate a temporary password.
  3. The temporary password has a validity period of 5 minutes.
  4. Share this code with guests or service providers.
  5. The recipient can enter the periodic password on the lock panel to unlock.

5.5 Lock Language Setting

  1. I roto i te taupānga, pāwhiri i runga i [more] (usually represented by three dots or a 'More' option).
  2. Whakatere ki [Lock Language].
  3. Tīpakohia Ingarihi from the available language options.

6.1 Nga Tikanga Wewete

  • Wewete Tapumati: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock within 0.2 seconds if recognized. The sensor supports 360-degree recognition.

  • Mana Whakauru: Use the Tuya Bluetooth App on your smartphone to remotely unlock or lock the door.

6.2 Mahi Maukati-Aunoa

The lock can be set to automatically lock after 5 seconds, providing peace of mind that your door is always secured. This feature can be configured via the mobile application.

6.3 Smart Normally Open Mode (Passage Mode)

This mode allows the door to remain unlocked for continuous access, ideal for high-traffic periods. To activate: Press and hold the handle button for 5 seconds until the pink light flashes, then release. A green light and a 'Di' sound will confirm activation. To deactivate: Verify your fingerprint, then press and hold the button again.

6.4 Virtual Password (Anti-Snooping)

To prevent others from guessing your password, you can enter random numbers before or after your actual password. As long as the correct consecutive password is included within the sequence, the lock will open.

  • Whakakapinga Pūhiko: The lock features a low battery alarm function. When the battery is low, replace all 4 AAA alkaline batteries promptly.
