5. Nga Tohutohu Huihuinga

Assembly is designed to be straightforward. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps. Lay out all parts on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

5.1. Aratohu Hipanga-i-te-Hipanga

  1. Whakapaia te turanga: Attach the metal legs (C) to the bottom panel of the main cabinet using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  2. Hangaia te Anga Matua: Connect the side panels to the bottom and top panels using dowels and cam locks. Follow the pre-drilled holes for correct alignment.
  3. Tāutahia ngā matau taha: Secure the metal side hooks (E) to the designated holes on the side panel.
  4. Huihuia ngā Pouaka Hurihuri: For each flip drawer, assemble the front panel (B) with its internal shoe rack components. Ensure the mechanism allows for smooth flipping.
  5. Insert Flip Drawers: Carefully slide the assembled flip drawers into their respective slots within the main cabinet frame.
  6. Āpiti Kakau: Secure the handles (D) to the front of each flip drawer.
  7. Tāutahia ngā Whata Whakaritea: Place the adjustable shelf pins (H) into the desired holes inside the flip drawers, then rest the shelves on them.
  8. Āpiti Paepae Whakamuri: Secure the back panel to the cabinet using small nails or screws.
  9. Tāuta Pūrere Anti-Aki: Position the cabinet in its desired location. Attach the anti-tip bracket (F) to the top rear of the cabinet and then to the wall using appropriate wall anchors and screws. This step is critical for safety.

6.1. Storing Shoes

  • Gently pull the handle of a flip drawer to open it.
  • Place shoes onto the internal racks. For optimal space utilization, place shoes with the toe pointing inwards or outwards, depending on their size and style.
  • To close, push the drawer back until it is flush with the cabinet front.

  • The internal shelves within each flip drawer can be adjusted or removed to accommodate taller footwear like boots or high heels.
  • To adjust, carefully lift the shelf and reposition the shelf pins into different pre-drilled holes.
  • To remove, simply lift the shelf off the pins.
