4. Tāutanga

  1. Matapihi Horoi: Ensure the area on your windshield where the dash cam will be mounted is clean and dry.
  2. Tāpirihia te Kiriata Hiko Pūmau: Apply the electrostatic film to the chosen area on the windshield. This helps protect your windshield and makes removal easier.
  3. Maunga Tuhinga o mua: Attach the front camera to the electrostatic film using the provided 3M tape. Ensure it is positioned to capture a clear view of the road ahead without obstructing your driving vision.
  4. Tāutahia te Kāmera Whakamuri: Mount the rear camera on your rear windshield. The 360° adjustable lens allows you to record the rear view or the vehicle interior.
  5. Tūhono Taura:
    • Connect the rear camera cable to the main unit's rear camera input.
    • Route the rear camera cable neatly along the vehicle's headliner and pillars to the rear camera.
    • Connect the car charger to the main unit's Type-C port and plug it into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter).
  6. Kōkuhu Kāri MicroSD: Insert the provided 64GB MicroSD card into the TF card slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly.
  7. Whakahiko: Start your vehicle. The dash cam should automatically power on and begin recording.

5.1 Mahi Taketake

  • Hiko Whakaka/Weto: The dash cam powers on automatically when your vehicle starts and powers off when the engine is turned off. You can also manually power it on/off using the Power/Setting key.
  • Te tuhi: Once powered on, the dash cam automatically begins loop recording.
  • Huri Kāmera View: Press the Switch Key to toggle between front camera view, kamera muri view, or picture-in-picture display on the screen.
  • Access Album: Press the Album Key to view nga ataata me nga whakaahua kua tuhia.

7. Tiaki

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BOTSLAB G980H Pro Dash Cam, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Arotahi Ma: Regularly clean the front and rear camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recording quality. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the lenses.
  • Check MicroSD Card: Periodically check the MicroSD card for errors or degradation. It is recommended to format the card every few months to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage i mua i te whakahōputu.
  • Whakahōu Firmware: Check the Botslab app or official website for any available firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date ensures you have the latest features and bug fixes.
  • Whakaha Uepu: Ensure all cables are securely routed and not interfering with vehicle operation or safety features. Avoid sharp bends or pinching of cables.
  • Te Pawerawera: While the super capacitor allows for operation in extreme temperatures, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight in very hot conditions or extreme cold when not in use can affect overall lifespan. If possible, park in shaded areas during hot weather.
