The REOLINK TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi Camera is an advanced outdoor security solution featuring 4K UHD dual-lens technology with 6x hybrid zoom. It offers 360° pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) coverage, auto-tracking capabilities, and privacy-focused local AI video search and storage. Designed for robust performance, it includes a 3000-lumen smart floodlight system and supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for stable connectivity. This camera is AC hardwired for continuous power and reliable operation.

3. Aratohu Tatūnga

3.1 Te Whakakā me te Hononga Taupānga Tuatahi

  1. Whakahiko: Connect the camera to a 5V/2A USB-C power adapter (not included) using the provided Type-C cable for initial setup.
  2. Tikiake Reolink App: Tikiake me te tāuta i te Taupānga Reolink mai i te toa taupānga o tō pūrere.
  3. Tāpiri Pūrere: Open the Reolink App, tap the '+' icon to add a new device. Scan the QR code on the camera or manually enter the UID.
  4. Whirihoranga Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your dual-band Wi-Fi 6 network. A Wi-Fi 6 compatible router is recommended for optimal 4K streaming.
  5. Set Device Password: Create a strong password for your camera to ensure security.

3.2 Te Whakataunga Kaari MicroSD

The camera supports microSD cards up to 512GB for local storage.

  1. Locate the rubber flap on the bottom of the camera unit.
  2. Gently open the flap to reveal the microSD card slot.

  4. Close the rubber flap securely to maintain weatherproofing.

3.3 Whakauru i te Kamera

The TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi Camera supports both wall and ceiling/eaves mounting. Ensure power is OFF at the breaker before wiring.

  1. Whakapaia te Pereti Whakaeke: Detach the mounting plate from the camera base.
  2. Whakarite Waea: For hardwired installation, feed the live (black), neutral (white), and ground (green/yellow-green) wires from your AC 100–240V junction box through the mounting plate.
  3. Pereti Whakapiri Haumaru: Secure the mounting plate to your desired location (wall or ceiling) using the provided screws. Ensure the 'UP' arrow on the plate points upwards and the bubble level is centered for proper alignment.
  4. Tūhono Waea: Connect the wires from your junction box to the corresponding terminals on the mounting plate. Use wire nuts for secure connections.
  5. Āpiti Kāmera: Slide the camera base onto the mounting plate, aligning the cable outlets. Secure it with the provided screws.
  6. Adjust Floodlight Angle: Manually adjust the floodlights to cover your desired monitoring area.

The camera features 4K ultra-clear wide-angle lenses for a broad field of view and a tracking lens with 6x hybrid zoom for detailed close-ups. The Reolink App provides a dual split-screen view mo te aroturuki matawhānui.

4.2 360° PTZ & Auto-Tracking

With 355° pan and 50° tilt, the camera offers extensive coverage. Equipped with AI recognition and 270° PIR detection, it automatically detects and tracks people, vehicles, and animals, even outside its immediate field of view.

4.3 Local AI Video Search

AI analysis and search processing are performed locally on the device. Use descriptive text (e.g., "person wearing a hat") to quickly search for specific events in locally stored alarm footage.

4.4 Kōwhiringa Hopu

Supports 24/7 continuous recording with secure local storage options including microSD cards (up to 512GB), Reolink NVR, Reolink Home Hub/Home Hub Pro, FTP/NAS. No mandatory cloud subscription.

4.5 Smart Floodlight System

Equipped with a 3000-lumen ultra-bright LED and infrared light for clear night vision. Lighting settings include adjustable brightness, color temperature (3000K-6500K), timed on/off, and low-brightness modes.

4.6 Two-Way Audio & Siren

The camera supports two-way audio for communication and includes a siren for deterrence, which can be activated manually or automatically upon detection.

5.2 Whakahoutanga Firmware

Regular firmware updates are released to improve functionality, fix bugs, and enhance security. It is recommended to keep your camera's firmware updated for optimal performance. Updates can be managed through the Reolink App.

6.1 Installation Challenges

  • Mounting Design: Some users report difficulties with ceiling mounting due to screw placement and the patented connector. Ensure careful alignment and consider professional installation if unsure.
  • Waea waea: The camera requires hardwiring (AC 100–240V). Ensure proper wire connections (live, neutral, ground) to the terminal block.

6.2 Motion Detection & Tracking

  • Overly Sensitive Detection: Adjust motion sensitivity settings within the Reolink App to reduce false alerts from environmental factors.
  • Privacy Mask/Non-Detection Zones: These features move with PTZ position, potentially causing conflicts during auto-tracking. Reolink is actively working on firmware improvements for this interaction.
  • Auto-Tracking Movement: The camera waits for motion to reach the edge of the frame before moving, which can result in abrupt movements.

6.3 Connectivity & App Issues

  • Intermittent Wi-Fi: Ensure your router supports Wi-Fi 6 for a faster and more stable connection. Check for firmware updates as these often resolve connectivity issues.
  • Whakakotahitanga Kaainga a Google: If experiencing issues with video feed or floodlight control, try disabling and re-enabling Google Home integration within the Reolink App and then relinking in the Google Home App.

6.4 Video Playback & Quality

  • Motion Artifacts: Due to the tracking nature of the camera, some motion artifacts may appear in the footage.
