DoorKing support FAQ
Nga patai noa mo nga pukapuka pukapuka, te rehitatanga me te tautoko mo tenei waitohu.
-
What safety devices are required for DKS gate operators?
According to UL 325 standards, DKS gate operators require functioning external entrapment protection devices, such as non-contact photo sensors (Type B1) or contact edges (Type B2), in each direction of travel to operate significantly.
-
Can I use the DKS 1000 Inverter with any gate operator motor?
No. The DKS 1000 Inverter Power Back Up System is designed for use only with PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motors. It should not be used with motors that utilize start windings, as the high start-up amperage can damage the inverter.
-
How should the DKS 1506 keypad be mounted?
The DKS 1506 keypad can be surface mounted or post mounted. It requires a rigid surface and should never be mounted directly to a moving gate or gate panel to avoid damage from vibration and shock.
-
What is the difference between Class I, II, III, and IV gate usage?
Class I is Residential; Class II is Commercial/General Public; Class III is Industrial/Limited Access; and Class IV is Restricted Access. DKS operators are rated for specific classes, and industrial models like the 9500 series should not be used in residential applications.
