About MEATER manuals on Manuals.plus

MEATER, developed by Apption Labs, is a category-defining brand known for creating the first truly wireless smart meat thermometer. By removing wires and connecting directly to a mobile application, MEATER products allow home cooks and pitmasters to monitor internal meat temperatures and ambient cooking conditions remotely. The system helps eliminate guesswork with features like the Pūnaha Kuki Arataki, which provides step-by-step instructions, and an Advanced Estimator Algorithm that predicts remaining cook and rest times.

The product lineup ranges from the Original MEATER and the extended-range MEATER Plus to the multi-probe MEATER Block and the durable, high-heat capable MEATER 2 Plus (Pro) series. Designed for use in ovens, grills, smokers, air fryers, and even rotisseries, MEATER thermometers ensure consistent, restaurant-quality results for steak, poultry, fish, and roasts.

MEATER support FAQ

Nga patai noa mo nga pukapuka pukapuka, te rehitatanga me te tautoko mo tenei waitohu.

  • What is the maximum temperature the MEATER probe can withstand?

Standard MEATER and MEATER Plus probes have an ambient temperature limit of 527°F (275°C) and an internal sensor limit of 212°F (100°C). The newer MEATER 2 Plus/Pro models feature a full metal probe capable of withstanding ambient temperatures up to 1000°F (550°C).

  • Are MEATER probes dishwasher safe?

The MEATER 2 Plus (Pro) probes are waterproof and dishwasher safe. However, the Original MEATER and MEATER Plus probes are water-resistant but not waterproof; they should be cleaned with a damp cloth and never submerged in water.

  • How do I pair my MEATER probe?

Ensure the probe has been charging in the block for at least 4 to 8 hours (depending on the model). Remove the probe from the charger, open the MEATER app, tap 'Add Device', and follow the on-screen instructions. The LED on the charger typically flashes green when ready to pair.

  • Can I use MEATER in a microwave, pressure cooker, or deep fryer?

Standard MEATER probes should not be used in microwaves, pressure cookers, or deep fryers. The MEATER 2 Plus is designed to be waterproof and heat-resistant enough for deep frying and sous vide cooking, but microwaves remain unsafe for all metal probes.

  • What do I do if my probe is not connecting?

Ensure the probe is fully charged. For MEATER Plus and Block, keep the charging unit (which acts as a repeater) close to the cooking appliance to maintain the Bluetooth signal link between the probe and your smart device.
