  1. Whakapaia te Whakaranu: Ensure your KitchenAid Stand Mixer is unplugged. Locate the attachment hub on the front of the mixer head. Unscrew the attachment hub knob counter-clockwise and remove the hub cover.
  2. Assemble the Housing Unit: Insert the metal shaft into the housing unit. The square end of the shaft should align with the square hole inside the housing.
  3. Āpiti ki te Whakaranu: Insert the housing unit's shaft into the mixer's attachment hub, ensuring the square end of the shaft aligns with the square hole in the hub. Rotate the attachment slightly if needed until it slides fully into place.
  4. Secure the Attachment: Tighten the attachment hub knob clockwise until the housing unit is firmly secured to the mixer. It should not wiggle.
  5. Insert Desired Cone: Select the appropriate slicing or shredding cone for your task. Insert the cone into the housing unit and turn it gently until it clicks and locks into position.

  1. Position Collection Bowl: Place a suitable bowl or container directly under the attachment's output chute to collect the processed ingredients.

  3. Tīmatahia te Whakaranu: Plug in your KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Turn the speed control to a low to medium setting (e.g., speed 2-4). Higher speeds may cause ingredients to scatter.
  4. Ngā Kai mō te Whāngai: Place the prepared ingredients into the feed tube. Use the provided food pusher to gently guide the ingredients towards the rotating cone. Apply steady, even pressure.

  6. Turn Off Mixer: Once finished, turn the mixer off and unplug it before disassembling or cleaning.
