1. Hononga Mana
The Sharp QS-2770H calculator is AC-powered. Connect the provided AC adapter to the power input port on the back of the calculator and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting.
2. Te Whakanoho Pepa
- Lift the paper roll arm located at the top rear of the calculator.
- Place a new paper roll (standard 2-1/4 inch width) onto the paper roll holder, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.
- Feed the leading edge of the paper into the printer slot until it emerges from the front of the printer mechanism.
- Lower the paper roll arm back into position.

3. Ripene Waituhi Whakauhia/Whakakapi
The calculator uses a two-color ink ribbon (Victor ink ribbon 7010 or equivalent). To install or replace:

- Automatic Tax Keys (TAX+, TAX-): Pre-set tax rates for quick tax calculations. Refer to your calculator's specific instructions for setting tax rates.
- Change Sign (+/-): Changes the sign of the displayed number.
- Tatau Tūemi: Automatically counts the number of entries.
- Memory Functions (M+, M-, MR, MC): Store, recall, add to, or subtract from memory. The QS-2770H features two independent 4-key memories.
The large, fluorescent display provides clear visibility of numbers and operational symbols. The 4.8 lines-per-second ribbon printer ensures fast and legible printouts of your calculations.
