Before beginning installation, ensure your shed's floor frame is perfectly level and square. This is critical for proper anchoring and structural integrity.
- Prepare the Corner Gussets: Attach the four corner gussets to the shed's floor frame at each corner. These gussets provide the attachment points for the earth anchors.
- Position the Earth Anchors: Place one corkscrew type earth anchor through the designated hole in each corner gusset.
- Twist Anchors into Ground: Use a steel bar or iron pipe inserted through the eyelet of the corkscrew anchor for leverage. Twist the anchor clockwise into the ground until the eyelet is flush with the corner gusset. Ensure the anchor is fully embedded and secure.
- Secure with Locking Washers: Once the anchor is fully twisted into the ground, slide a locking washer over the eyelet of the anchor, securing it tightly against the gusset. This prevents the anchor from backing out.
- Manatoko Pūmautanga: After all four anchors are installed, gently test the shed's stability to ensure it is firmly secured to the ground.
