The Hunter 27183 wall control is designed to provide four fan speeds and full-range light dimming for your ceiling fan. It includes a preset feature to control fan and light operation at desired settings.

The Hunter 27183 wall control is designed for installation in a standard three-wire, single box wall switch. Professional installation is recommended.

The Hunter 27183 wall control features separate sliders for fan speed and light dimming, along with a preset function.
- Mana Tere Kiri: Use the fan slider to select one of the four available fan speeds. Move the slider up for higher speeds and down for lower speeds.
- Te Moama Maama: Use the light slider to adjust the brightness of your ceiling fan light. Move the slider up to increase brightness and down to dim the light.
- Āhuatanga Tautuhi-mua: The control includes a preset function. Once you have set your desired fan speed and light level, you can use the main rocker switch (if present on your switchplate) to turn the fan and light on/off at these preset settings without readjusting the sliders.
General Ceiling Fan Operation
Understanding how your ceiling fan operates in different seasons can help optimize comfort and energy savings when used with your Hunter wall control.
Figure 3: In summer, set your ceiling fan blades to rotate counter-clockwise. This creates a downward airflow, producing a wind-chill effect that can make a room feel cooler, allowing you to set your thermostat higher.
