WARNING: To avoid electrical shock, remove input leads before opening the case. To prevent fire, install the fuse with the specified amp/volt ratings.
- Me whakarite kia tika te awhe o te mita maha i mua i te ine.
- Kaua e ngana ki te ine voltagngā iahiko rānei e neke ake ana i ngā rohenga mōrahi kua tohua.
- Kia tino tupato i te wa e mahi ana me nga iahiko ora.
- Tirohia ngā taura whakamātautau mō ngā pakaru i mua i ia whakamahinga. Kaua e whakamahia mēnā kua ngoikore te whakamarumaru.
- Never open the multimeter casing unless absolutely necessary for maintenance (e.g., fuse replacement) and ensure it is disconnected from all power sources.
- This device is rated for CAT III 600V.

4. Ihirangi mokete
I te whakatuwheratanga o te kete, tirohia koa kei te noho nga taonga katoa me te kore e pakaru:
- Mastech M300 Mini Digital Multimeter (with attached test leads)
- SR44 3V Batteries (x2, pre-installed)
- Pukapuka Kaiwhakamahi
5. Tatūnga
5.1 Tāutanga/Whakakapinga Pūhiko
The Mastech M300 uses two SR44 3V batteries, which are typically pre-installed. If replacement is needed:
- Ensure the multimeter is turned OFF and disconnect all test leads from any circuits.
- Kimihia te wāhi pākahiko kei muri o te waeine (tirohia te Pikitia 2.1).
- Kia tupato ki te whakatuwhera i te uhi o te waahanga pākahiko.
- Remove the old batteries and insert new SR44 3V batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Me tino kati te taupoki o te waahanga o te papahiko.
5.2 Te hono i nga kaiarahi Whakamātautau
The Mastech M300 features integrated test leads. Ensure they are securely attached to the meter and free from any damage before use.
6. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Before making any measurement, ensure the multimeter is set to the appropriate function and range. The rotary switch is used to select the desired measurement type.
6.1 Te Ine DC Voltage (V–)
- Whakatakotoria te pana hurihuri ki te DC Voltage e hiahiatia anatage range (e.g., 500V, 200V, 20V, 2V, 200mV). Start with the highest range if the voltage kore e mohiotia.
Start with the highest range if the voltage kore e mohiotia.
- Honoa ngā taura whakamātautau puta noa i te hiko ACtage puna.
- Pānuihia te voltage uara i runga i te whakaaturanga LCD.
6.3 Measuring DC Current (A–)
CAUTION: To measure current, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit. Never connect the multimeter in parallel across a voltage source when in current mode, as this can damage the meter and the circuit.
- Set the rotary switch to the desired DC Current range (e.g., 200mA, 20mA, 2mA, 200µA).
- Break the circuit where you want to measure current.
- Connect the red test lead to the higher potential side of the break and the black test lead to the lower potential side, completing the circuit through the multimeter.
- Pānuihia te uara o nāianei i runga i te whakaaturanga LCD.
6.4 Te Ine i te Ātete (Ω)
CAUTION: Ensure the circuit or component is completely de-energized before measuring resistance. Measuring resistance on a live circuit can damage the multimeter.
- Set the rotary switch to the desired Resistance range (e.g., 2MΩ, 200kΩ, 20kΩ, 2kΩ, 200Ω).
- Connect the test leads across the component whose resistance you wish to measure.
- Pānuihia te uara ātete i runga i te mata LCD.
6.5 Whakatautau Diode
- Set the rotary switch to the Diode symbol (→|–).
- Connect the red test lead to the anode of the diode and the black test lead to the cathode. The display will show the forward voltage maturuturu.
- Whakahokia nga arahi. Me whakaatu te whakaaturanga 'OL' (Open Loop) mo te diode pai.
6.6 Whakamātautau Tonu
- Set the rotary switch to the Continuity symbol (♫).
- Connect the test leads across the component or wire you wish to test.
- If there is continuity (low resistance), the buzzer will sound, and the display will show a low resistance value. If there is no continuity, the display will show 'OL'.
7. Tiaki
7.1 Te horoi
Hei horoi i te mita maha, murua te pouaka ki te adamp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the unit is completely dry before use.
7.2 Whakakapinga Puka
If the current measurement function stops working, the fuse may need replacement. Refer to the safety warnings on the back of the unit for fuse specifications (F 250mA/250V).
- Me whakaweto te mita maha, kātahi ka momotu i ngā taura whakamātautau katoa.
- Open the multimeter casing (this typically involves removing screws on the back).
- Locate the fuse and carefully remove it.
- Replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating (F 250mA/250V).
- Katia te casing.
8. Te Raru
- No Display / Faint Display: Tirohia te kaha o te pākahiko. Whakakapia ngā pākahiko mēnā e tika ana.
- Pānui hē: Ensure the rotary switch is set to the correct function and range. Verify test lead connections. Ensure the circuit is de-energized for resistance measurements.
- No Current Measurement: Check the fuse. Replace if blown (refer to Section 7.2).
- Whakaaturanga 'OL' (Tapanui) The measured value exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range or verify the circuit.
