2. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
Installation of the Ritto Entravox system requires electrical knowledge and should ideally be performed by a qualified technician. Ensure all power is disconnected before beginning any installation work.
2.1 Nga Waahanga Nekeview
- Teihana tatau: The outdoor unit with microphone, speaker, and call buttons.
- Indoor Handsets: The units inside each residence for communication and door release.
- Tuku Hiko: Provides power to the entire intercom system.
2.2 Nga Waahi Whakataunga (Nga Aratohu Atoa)
- Mount the Door Station: Select a suitable outdoor location, typically near the entrance, at an accessible height. Ensure it is protected from direct weather exposure if possible.

- Install Indoor Handsets: Mount each of the three indoor handsets in a convenient location within their respective residences. Ensure they are within reach and have clear access to wiring.

- Honoa te Kaihiko hiko: Install the Entravox power supply unit in a dry, secure location, typically indoors. Connect it to the main electrical supply according to local electrical codes.

- Waea waea: Connect the door station, indoor handsets, and power supply using the TwinBus wiring system. Follow the detailed wiring diagrams provided in the manufacturer's full installation guide (not included in this general user manual). Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized.

3. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
3.1 Making a Call from the Door Station
- The visitor presses the illuminated call button corresponding to the desired residence on the door station.
- The indoor handset in the selected residence will ring.
3.2 Answering a Call from an Indoor Handset
- When the handset rings, lift the receiver.
- Speak into the receiver to communicate with the visitor at the door station.
- To end the conversation, replace the receiver.
3.3 Door Release Function (if connected)
If your system is connected to an electric door opener, you can release the door from the indoor handset:
- During an active conversation with a visitor, press the door release button on the indoor handset. This button is typically marked with a key symbol.
- The door will unlock for a short period, allowing the visitor to enter.
3.4 Muting the Ringtone (if available)
Some TwinBus handsets may feature a ringtone mute function. Consult your specific handset model's documentation for details on this feature.
