3. Hua Neke Atuview
The Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II speaker system consists of two speakers, one active (right) and one passive (left). The active speaker houses the main controls and connections.

3.1 Active Speaker (Right) Controls and Ports

- Bass Control Knob: Whakaritea te putanga auau iti.
- Treble Control Knob: Whakaritea ai te putanga auau teitei.
- Pouaka Mana Volume: Controls the overall volume and acts as the power ON/OFF switch.
- Tihakihihi Mo te hono taringa.
- AUX In Jack: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm stereo cable.
3.2 Passive Speaker (Left)
The passive speaker connects to the active speaker and reproduces the audio signal without its own controls or power input.
4. Tatūnga
Follow these steps to set up your Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II speaker system:
- Te Whakanoho i nga Kai-Korero: Place the active (right) and passive (left) speakers on a stable surface, ideally equidistant from your listening position for optimal stereo imaging. Ensure adequate space around the speakers for proper sound dispersion.
- Te hono i nga Kaikōrero: Connect the passive (left) speaker to the active (right) speaker using the integrated speaker cable. The cable connects to the dedicated port on the back of the active speaker.
- E hono ana ki te Puna Ororongo:
- For PC/Laptop/MP3 Player: Use the provided stereo cable (3.5mm jack) to connect the audio output of your device to the AUX In port on the front of the active speaker.
- For TV/DVD Player/Game Console: Use the provided RCA-to-Stereo Jack Adapter. Connect the RCA ends to the audio output (usually red and white ports) of your TV/DVD player/game console, and then connect the 3.5mm stereo jack end to the AUX In port on the front of the active speaker.
- Te Mana Hono: Connect the power adapter to the power input port on the back of the active speaker, then plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- Whakahiko: Turn the Volume control knob clockwise until it clicks to power on the speakers. The blue LED ring around the volume knob will illuminate.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Once your speakers are set up, you can begin enjoying your audio. Use the front-panel controls for easy adjustments:
- Mana Rōrahi: Hurihia te Rōrahi knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it. To turn off the speakers, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks.
- Whakaritenga Pango: Whakamahia te Paoro knob to increase or decrease the low-frequency output. Adjust to your preference for richer bass.
- Whakaritenga Takitoru: Whakamahia te Takahuri knob to increase or decrease the high-frequency output. Adjust for clearer highs.
- Whakamahi Puoro: Plug your headphones into the headphone jack on the front panel. When headphones are connected, audio output from the speakers will automatically mute.
- Tāuru AUX: The front AUX In jack allows for quick connection of portable audio devices without needing to access the rear connections.
Note on Sound Quality (Speaker Break-in): Some users report that the sound quality, particularly the midrange, improves after a period of "breaking in" the speakers. This involves playing audio through them for several hours. If you initially find the sound to be less balanced than expected, allow the speakers some time to break in before making final judgments on sound adjustments.
6. Tiaki
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II speakers, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Te horoi: Gently wipe the speaker surfaces with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
- Puehu: Regularly dust the speaker grilles and surfaces to prevent dust buildup, which can affect sound quality and appearance.
- Turanga: Avoid placing speakers in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity. Ensure good ventilation around the speakers.
- Te whakahaere: Kia tūpato te pupuri i ngā kaikōrero. Kaua e tukua kia taka, kaua hoki e tukua kia pāngia e te kaha o te pānga.
- Weto Whakakore: When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to turn off the speakers using the volume knob and unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet.
7. Te Raru
If you encounter any issues with your Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II speakers, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Kore Oro:
- Ensure the speakers are powered on (blue LED around volume knob is lit).
- Check that the volume knob is turned up.
- Verify all cables are securely connected: power adapter, speaker interconnect cable, and audio input cable from your source device.
- Ensure the audio source (PC, MP3 player, TV) is playing audio and its volume is turned up.
- If using headphones, unplug them from the front jack.
- Try connecting a different audio source to rule out an issue with your primary device.
