The rear panel houses all necessary input and output jacks for connecting your guitar, amplifier, headphones, and computer.

  • AMP/MIXER Switch: Optimizes output for either a guitar amplifier or a mixing console/headphones.
  • LEFT (Mono) OUTPUT: 1/4-inch jack for connecting to an amplifier or mixer. Use this for mono output.
  • PUTANGA TIKA: 1/4-inch jack for stereo output when connecting to two amplifiers or a stereo mixer.
  • PUKAPUKA HEADPHONE: 1/8-inch stereo jack for private practice.
  • MANA KI ROTO: Jack for an optional external expression pedal (not included).
  • USB: Type B USB port for connecting to a computer for recording and using the X-Edit software.
  • 9VAC 1.3A: Power input jack for the included AC adapter.

Follow these steps to set up your DigiTech RP155 for the first time.

5.1 Hononga Hiko

  1. Connect the included 9VAC power adapter to the 9VAC 1.3A jack on the rear panel of the RP155.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable AC outlet. The unit will power on automatically as there is no dedicated on/off switch.

  2. Install the necessary drivers and the DigiTech X-Edit software from the official DigiTech website. This software allows for advanced preset editing and firmware updates.

6. Operating the RP155

6.1 Basic Navigation and Presets

  • Once connected via USB and drivers are installed, the RP155 will appear as an audio input/output device in your computer's sound settings.
  • You can record your guitar directly into a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software with the RP155's processed sound.
  • The RP155 can also play back audio from your computer through its outputs, allowing you to play along with tracks.
