3. Tatūnga
3.1 Installing the Rechargeable Batteries
To prepare your Xbox 360 wireless controllers for charging with the Nyko Charge Base S, you must first install the custom NiMH rechargeable batteries.
- Open the battery compartment on the back of your Xbox 360 wireless controller.
- Remove any existing batteries or battery packs.
- Insert a Nyko custom NiMH rechargeable battery pack into the compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.

3.2 Connecting the Charge Base S
Connect the Charge Base S to a power source:
- Plug the AC power adapter into the power input port on the back of the Charge Base S.

4.1 Charging Controllers
To charge your Xbox 360 wireless controllers:
- Ensure the custom NiMH rechargeable batteries are installed in your controllers (refer to Section 3.1).
- Gently place an Xbox 360 wireless controller onto one of the charging docks on the Charge Base S. Ensure the controller's battery contacts align with the charging pins on the base.
- The LED indicator on the Charge Base S for that dock will illuminate to show the charging status.
- Repeat for the second controller if desired.

4.2 Tohu LED
The Charge Base S features LED indicators to communicate the charging status of each controller:

A single battery typically charges in approximately 2 hours, while two batteries charging simultaneously will take about 4 hours.
5. Tiaki
- Te horoi: Disconnect the Charge Base S from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Rokiroki: When not in use for extended periods, store the Charge Base S and batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Tiaki Pūhiko: To prolong battery life, avoid completely draining the batteries before recharging. It is recommended to charge them regularly.

If you encounter issues with your Nyko Charge Base S, please refer to the following table:
