2. Nga korero haumaru

- Haumaru Hiko: Ensure all wiring is performed by a qualified professional and complies with local electrical codes. Disconnect power before installation.

4. Tatūnga & Tāuta
The Polk Audio MC60 speaker features an easy one-cut, drop-in installation process. Pre-construction brackets are available separately if needed.
4.1 Te Whakamahere i tō Tāutanga
- Tauwāhi: Choose a location in your ceiling free from obstructions like electrical wires, plumbing, or HVAC ducts. Consider the acoustic properties of the room and desired sound coverage.
- Waea waea: Whakamaherehia to ararere waea korero mai i to amplifier/receiver to the speaker location. Ensure you use appropriate gauge speaker wire for the distance.
- Taiao: The MC60 is suitable for humid indoor/enclosed areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, sunrooms, and covered patios due to its moisture-resistant design and rustproof stainless-steel hardware.
4.2 Nga Waahi Whakataunga
- Whakaritea te whakatuwheratanga:
Using the provided template, mark the desired cutout area on your ceiling. Carefully cut the opening using a drywall saw or appropriate tool. Ensure the cut is clean and precise.

- Whakahaere Waea Tukuoro:
Route the speaker wire through the ceiling to the cutout opening. Leave enough slack to comfortably connect to the speaker terminals.
- Honoa te Waea Kaikōrero:
Strip approximately 1/2 inch (12mm) of insulation from the ends of the speaker wires. Connect the positive (+) wire from your amplifier to the red (+) terminal on the speaker, and the negative (-) wire to the black (-) terminal. Ensure a secure connection and no stray wire strands are touching.
- Whakauruhia te Kaikōrero:
Carefully insert the speaker into the cutout opening. The precision flange should sit flush against the ceiling surface.

- Secure Speaker with Rotating Cams:
The MC60 uses rotating cams for secure installation. Using a screwdriver, tighten the screws located on the front baffle of the speaker. As you tighten, the cams will rotate outwards and clamp firmly onto the ceiling material. Do not overtighten.

- Adjust Tweeter (Optional):
The 0.75-inch tweeter is aim-ready, allowing you to direct high frequencies for optimal sound in your listening area. Gently pivot the tweeter to the desired angle.

- Tāpirihia te Matapihi:
Align the paintable white matte grille with the speaker frame and gently press it into place until it is securely seated. The grille can be painted to match your ceiling decor.
