- Optional PC Connection: If you plan to scan directly to a computer, connect the scanner to your PC using the supplied USB 2.0 cable. Install the Scan2PC software if prompted or if it's available on the included SD card.

- Prepare Photo: Ensure the photo is clean and free of dust. For small photos (e.g., wallet size) or photos that are curled, torn, or tacky, use the clear protective sleeve to ensure smooth feeding and prevent damage.
- Kōkuhu Whakaahua: Gently insert the photo into the scanner's input slot. The scanner will automatically detect the photo and begin feeding it through. Ensure the photo is inserted straight to avoid skewed scans.
- Matawai: The scanner will automatically scan the photo. Scanned images are saved as 600dpi full-color JPEG files.
- Tiaki Files:
- To SD Card: If an SD card is inserted, images will be saved directly to it. The scanner assigns numerical filenames automatically.
- To PC: If connected to a PC with Scan2PC software installed, images may be transferred directly to your computer. Refer to the Scan2PC software instructions for details.
- Weto Whakakore: Press the power button again to turn off the scanner when not in use.

Regular cleaning ensures optimal scan quality and extends the life of your scanner.
- Horoi Sensor: Use the provided sensor cleaning swab to gently clean the scanning sensor. Dust and debris on the sensor can cause lines or streaks on scanned images. Clean the swab with a damp cloth and mild soap if it becomes dirty, ensuring it is completely dry before reuse.
