- Select Home City: Use the 'FORWARD' (top right) and 'REVERSE' (bottom right) buttons to select your desired home city code.
- Whakaritea te Wa Tiaki Awatea (DST): Press the 'MODE' button (bottom left) to cycle through settings. When DST is flashing, use 'FORWARD' or 'REVERSE' to toggle it ON or OFF.
- Tautuhi Wā me te Rā: Continue pressing 'MODE' to navigate through the settings (12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day). Use 'FORWARD' and 'REVERSE' to adjust each value.
- Putaatu Aratau Tautuhinga: Press the 'ADJUST' button to save your settings and return to the timekeeping mode. The analog hands will automatically adjust to match the digital time.

If the analog hands do not match the digital time after initial setup or battery change, perform a hand home position correction:

- Press 'ADJUST' to confirm and exit. The hands will then move to the current time.

- Navigate to Stopwatch Mode using the 'MODE' button.
- Press the 'START/STOP' button (bottom right) to start and stop the stopwatch.
- Press the 'SPLIT/RESET' button (top left) to record split times while the stopwatch is running.
- When the stopwatch is stopped, press 'SPLIT/RESET' to reset it to zero.

- Press 'ADJUST' to confirm and exit.
- To turn an alarm ON/OFF, select the alarm number and press 'START/STOP'.
