The control panel on the back of the frame includes buttons for:
- Pātene Hiko: To turn the frame on or off.

- Ngā Pātene Whakatere (Runga, Raro, Mauī, Matau): For moving through menu options and selecting images.
- Pātene Tomo/Pūrei/Whakamutu: To confirm selections or control slideshow playback.
- Exit/Return Button: To go back to the previous screen or exit a menu.
Tatūnga
- Wewete ana: Carefully remove the digital photo frame and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present: the digital photo frame, power adapter, and user manual.
- Turanga: Place the frame on a stable, flat surface. Adjust the stand on the back to achieve the desired viewkoki.
- Hononga Hiko: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the frame. Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Te whakauru i te kaari mahara: Locate the SD/MMC/SDHC card slot on the side or back of the frame. Insert your memory card with photos facing the correct direction until it clicks into place. The frame supports JPG image format.
- Te hono i te Pūrere USB: If using a USB flash drive, insert it into the USB host port on the back of the frame.
- Hiko Tuatahi: Press the Power button on the back of the frame to turn it on. The frame will typically start displaying photos automatically or prompt you to select a source.

- Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Pehia te Mana button once to turn the frame on. Press and hold the Mana pēhi i te pātene mō ētahi hēkona hei whakaweto.
- Te Uru Tahua: Pehia te Tahua button to enter the main menu. Use the navigation buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to highlight options and the Tomo pātene hei kowhiri.
- Tahua Putaatu: Pehia te Putaatu/Hoki button to go back to the previous menu level or to the photo display.

- Starting a Slideshow: Once a memory card or USB device is inserted, the frame will typically start a slideshow automatically. If not, navigate to the "Photo" or "Slideshow" option in the menu and select it.
- Pausing/Resuming: During a slideshow, press the Purei/Tatari pātene ki te okioki, ki te whakaara ano i te purei ano.
- Navigating Photos: Use the Left/Right navigation buttons to manually move to the previous or next photo during a paused slideshow or single photo view.
- Tautuhinga Whakaatakiriata: In the menu, you can often find options to adjust slideshow interval, transition effects, and playback order (e.g., sequential, random).
Clock and Calendar Functions
- Accessing: Navigate to the "Clock" or "Calendar" option in the main menu.
- Tautuhi Wā/Rā: Use the navigation buttons to adjust the time and date. Confirm settings with the Tomo pātene.
- Aratau Whakaatu: Some models allow displaying the clock/calendar alongside a photo. Check the display settings for this option.
Āhuahira Aunoa Aunoa/Weto
- Setting Schedule: In the system settings menu, locate the "Auto On/Off" or "Timer" option.
- Configuring Times: Set desired power-on and power-off times for each day or for a daily schedule. This feature helps conserve energy.
