Ka mutu te huaview
The Klein Tools NCVT-2 is a dual-range non-contact voltage tester designed for automatically detecting both low voltage me te paerewa voltage in electrical systems. It features visual and audible indicators to alert users to the presence of AC voltage, enhancing safety during electrical work. Its durable construction and compact design make it a reliable tool for professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
Āhuatanga matua:
- Automatic Dual-Range Detection: Automatically detects low voltage (12-48 VAC) and standard voltage (48-1000 VAC).
- Non-Contact Operation: Ka kitea haumaru te kaha o te ACtagme te kore e pā tika ki ngā kaiarataki.
- Visual and Audible Indicators: A bright green LED indicates the tester is operational. Flashing red LED and distinct warning tones signal voltage kitenga.
- Worklight Functionality: High-intensity green LED also functions as a worklight for illuminating dark areas.
- Whakaweto Aunoa: Conserves and extends battery life.
- Hanga Roa: Lightweight, durable polycarbonate plastic resin construction with 9.8-foot / 3 m drop protection.
- Whakatauranga Haumaru: CAT IV 1000V safety rating, conforms to CE requirements.
Nga korero haumaru
WHAKATŪPATO: Read, understand, and follow all warnings, cautions, safety information, and instructions in this manual before operating or servicing this tester. Failure to follow instructions could result in death or serious injury.
- Always test on a known live circuit before and after use to ensure the tester is functioning correctly.
- Do not use if the tester appears damaged or is not operating properly.
- Adhere to all local and national safety codes.
Tatūnga
Tāuta Pūhiko:
- Unscrew the cap at the rear of the tester.
- Insert two (2) 1.5V AAA Alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Securely screw the cap back onto the tester.
- Press the power button to confirm the green LED illuminates, indicating proper battery installation and functionality.

Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Te Hia/Weto me te Kōwhiringa Aratau:
- Hei Whakahiko: Press and hold the power button for approximately 1 second. The green LED will illuminate, indicating the tester is ready for use in dual-range mode (12-1000 VAC).
- To Switch to Standard Voltage Only Mode: While the tester is on, press the power button briefly. The blue LED will turn off, and the green LED will remain on, indicating standard voltage detection (48-1000 VAC).
- To Switch Back to Dual-Range Mode: Press the power button briefly again. The blue LED will illuminate along with the green LED.
- Hei Whakaweto: Press and hold the power button until the LEDs turn off. The tester also features an auto power-off function after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Voltage Raputanga:
- Ensure the tester is powered on and the green LED is illuminated.
- Place the tip of the tester near the conductor, outlet slot, or insulated wire you wish to test.
- Mena AC voltage is detected, the red LED will flash, and an audible tone will sound. The frequency of the beeps and flashes increases as the tester gets closer to the voltage puna.
- Mo te iti voltage (12-48 VAC) detection, ensure the tester is in dual-range mode (green and blue LEDs illuminated).
- Mo te paerewa voltage (48-1000 VAC) detection, either dual-range mode or standard voltage only mode can be used.

Worklight Function:
- The high-intensity green LED at the tip of the tester can be used to illuminate the workspace, especially in dimly lit areas.
Te tiaki
- Whakakapinga Pūhiko: Replace batteries when the green LED fails to illuminate or the tester does not respond as expected. Refer to the 'Battery Installation' section for instructions.
- Te horoi: Wipe the tester with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Rokiroki: Penapenahia te taputapu whakamātautau ki te wāhi hauhautanga, maroke, kia matara atu i te rā tika me ngā pāmahana tino kino.
Raparongoā
- Tester does not turn on: Tirohia te whakaurunga o te pākahiko me te whakakapi i nga pākahiko mehemea e tika ana.
- Ngā pānui koretake: Ensure the tester tip is close enough to the conductor. Test on a known live circuit to verify functionality. Environmental factors or interference can sometimes affect readings.
