Consider the acoustics of the room and the desired sound coverage. For optimal stereo imaging, speakers should be equidistant from the primary listening position and spaced appropriately apart.

2. Preparing the Ceiling

  1. Locate ceiling joists to avoid cutting into them. Use a stud finder.
  2. Using the provided template (if available), mark the cutout area on the ceiling.
  3. Carefully cut the opening using a drywall saw or similar tool.

  1. Strip approximately 1/2 inch (12mm) of insulation from the ends of the speaker wires.
  2. Press down on the spring-loaded binding posts on the back of the speaker.
  3. Insert the positive (+) wire (typically red or marked) into the red terminal and the negative (-) wire (typically black or unmarked) into the black terminal. Release the posts to secure the wires.

  1. Carefully insert the speaker into the cutout hole.
  2. Tighten the mounting screws (usually located on the front baffle) evenly. This will cause the mounting clamps to pivot outwards and secure the speaker to the ceiling. Do not overtighten.
  3. Once secured, attach the magnetic grille to the front of the speaker. The grille will snap into place.
